Aphrodite In Astrology Called Venus By Romans

Since the early days of the Mayans, the power that heavenly bodies exerted over life on the planet Earth has been spoken of in many circles as being for entertainment only. However, using their own powers, Mayan women established their own proof that this power did exist and is the basis for this numerological-based civilization’s belief in the powers of astrology. Venus, the goddess of love was renamed from Aphrodite in astrology in ancient Greek times, as she was considered the embodiment of the virgin, the mother and the unmarried crone.

She is said to have been from the foam of the sea into which her father’s severed genitals were tossed and the name Aphrodite in astrology is said to bear that meaning. However, as astrology become more widely practiced, when the methods reached Rome, her name was changed to Venus, although the idea of her being able to make any man fall in love with her just by looking at her eyes, still holds a spark of truth in today’s astrological beliefs.

Aphrodite in astrology was the daughter of Ouranus; Uranus in today’s celestial times, yet has never been depicted as a child. Every rendering in drawings and in stone statues show her as an adult, desirable female. In astrology, Venus represents the bringing together of many parts to form a single entity stronger than the sum of the separate parts.

Position Of Planets Influences Their Affect

How the sun and moon sign combined influences the individual traits depends on their position within the astrological sign. Why should I bother what my planets in astrology are? Or what planets rule my dog’s sign? This helps you prepare for life in a variety of ways. Since I’m a Scorpio, I’ve already told you that Mars is one of my ruling planets. That means things that are associated and harmonize well with Mars energy will also benefit me.

For example, Mars rules Tuesday and the color red. So, if I’m planning on having a job interview, I’d best see if I could schedule it for a Tuesday and I should wear red on me somewhere in order to make me feel my best and most energetic. But I wouldn’t know about red and Tuesdays unless I knew my planets in astrology.

However, finding out about Pluto has been a bit tricky. Since it’s a lot closer, I personally think Mars has more of an influence on me and pay attention to that. So, I prick up my ears for information on what Mars is doing in order to help me plan for any major life events. When Mars is in retrograde, I know not to try to conquer the galaxy. Knowing what planets rule their sun signs are just one way people have found astrology useful in their lives.

I’ve Been Plutoed

Perhaps your planets and my planets in astrology don’t seem to make much sense. The science of astrology began long before the planets of Uranus and Pluto were discovered. And, in 2006, the scientific community decided that Pluto was no longer to be considered a planet (leading to the American Dialect Society’s choice of 2006 word of the year as “plutoed”).

However, if your sign is Cancer, then your sign is ruled by the Moon. If you’re like my dog, who is a Leo, then her sign is ruled by the Sun. Yes, these aren’t technically planets. However, they were called “planets” thousands of years ago and the name stuck in astrology. So, your planets and my planets in astrology sometimes differ than planets in astronomy.

The Importance Of My Planets In Astrology Predictions

I’m a Scorpio. This means a few things – that I was born between October 22 and November 22 for one and that I’m hard to figure out, for another.
